The Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies enter the final week of the regular season tied with 4Play for 2nd, only 1 game out of top spot in Division 1. To finish the weekend in 1st place they will need a win and some significant help. The 4th place Mean Street Stingers have all intentions of playing the role of spoiler and potentially moving up the standings as well. The Stingers, the top offensive team in the division, have struggled with consistency this season. With a win they will climb into 3rd place, passing the F.B.R.D. but they most likely can't catch 4Play based on the tiebreakers. The defending Division 2 champions have averaged 10 runs a game, but have been held to single digits 5 times- losing 3 of those contests. These clubs are quite familiar with each other. The Duckies handed the Stingers their first loss of the season back in June and than defeated them again in the finals of the Mid-Season tournament. The Mean Streeters got one back with a 9-6 victory in week 7 and have now beaten each team in the division at least once with the exception of the Benchwarmers. The F.B.R.D. have a mathematical chance to complete leg 2 of 3 of the D-1 Trifecta; Mid-Season Champs, Regular Season Winners, and Division Champions. The first leg already came at the expense of the Stingers and with 3rd place on the line the significance of this game is even greater. Good Luck to both teams.

They may have 1st place locked up, but there is still a lot left to accomplish for a dominant Beards and Babes club. First, with a win they will be the only team in any division to win 10 games this season. Secondly, after failing to win the Mid-Season tournament, let alone make the finals- a Division championship is a must to cap off such a strong season. Wanna Bats are upset oriented as they enter this match-up. A win over the top squad will bolster their confidence and make them a team to watch heading into the championship tourney. After back to back wins last weekend, they have now won 5 of their last 7 games scoring an impressive 48 runs during that stretch. They got off to a rough start this season with just a single win through the first week of July, but have surged back into relevancy since then. Only one team has beaten the Beards & Babes squad this year and it happened in Week 8's Featured Game against B & N Delivery. B&B has compiled an impressive record this season, but they still have unfinished business and the pressure of being #1 can be daunting. Good Luck to both sides this weekend!

The two top ranked sides in Division 3 will play a mini 2-game set on Sunday that could very well determine who takes home the #1 spot. Originally scheduled to meet for the first time back in Week 5, the weather forced the cancellation of the game- but it would appear these clubs are meeting at the perfect time. The 1st place Master Batters are far and away the best defensive team in the division. They have allowed 22 less runs than the #2 team, and have only relinquished a pair of scores over their last 2 games. Not to be outdone, the 2nd place Roadies swings some big bats that will test their opponent's defensive prowess. Scoring a division best 104 runs (tied with Crazy Joe's), they have averaged 11.5 runs per game- their double digit scoring streak was halted at 3 games last week. The Master Batters have owned the division lead since the start of the season and have won 3 in a row. The Roadies are riding a 2 game winning streak and are unbeaten in 5 straight games dating back to early June. A potential preview of the D3 Championship game gets a double bill this weekend, good luck to both sides!

The Swingers make their second straight appearance in a Featured Game, fresh off their narrow 7-6 defeat of the Legends. The win propelled them into 1st place. The Jawyhawks, Mid-Season Tournament runners-up, were featured back in Week 9 and extracted a measure of revenge for their tournament loss by defeating S.O.S. 8-7. The Swingers are an offensive anomaly, ranking 2nd last in runs produced, yet still sitting #1 in the standings. Their success has hinged heavily on their run stopping ability, as they are the best in their group with just 5.11 runs given up per game. The Swingers have triumphed twice in head to head action against the Jayhawks, but it would appear that the Hawks are peaking at the right time. Winners of 3 in a row, they have climbed back into contention outscoring their last 3 opponents 35-19. In their last 2 meetings, the Jayhawks have got progressively closer to defeating the Swingers and hope that the third time is the charm. Good Luck to both teams!

The top two teams in Division 2 will square off under the lights on Sunday night with divisional dominance on the line. The Legends started the season winning 6 of their first 7 games and maintaining a strangle hold on top spot. The Swingers also got off to a good start, but turned it up after back to back rain outs winning 3 of 4 games. Both clubs are coming off defeats in Week 10; the Legends fell to 3rd place Al's Pizza and the Swingers beat Source for Sports before losing to the Mid-Season Tournament winners S.O.S.. The Legends are #2 in both Runs For and Against, while the Swingers are the top Defensive squad in the division. Despite their regular season success, neither team won the Mid-Season tournament, but both clubs will soon shift their focus to the forthcoming End of the Year tournament and the Division 2 championship. The Legends and Swingers will play again in the late game to cap off Week 11 as well. The winner of the mini 2-game set will certainly position themselves as the favourite to capture the Division title. Good Luck to both teams!

Two hungry ball teams go head to head in Division 4 on Sunday as the surging Wanna Bats take on the Elgin Rams Heads. The Wanna Bats head into the contest on the strength of a 2 game winning streak, with wins in 3 of their last 4. They flexed their muscle in last weekend's double dip, putting up an impressive 28 runs and defeating 2nd place B & N Delivery in the process. The Ram Heads have lost just once in their last 4 games, but they will be facing a team that blasted them 10-0 earlier in the season. They have been a clutch team of late winning close ball games, edging out S.O.P. in Week 8 by a single run. Progress Auto holds a slight lead over the Rams Heads for 3rd place, but with the Wanna Bats and S.O.P hot on their tail 3rd through 6th place is very much up for grabs in Division 4. Good Luck everyone!

In the second of two regular season meetings, S.O.S. and the Jayhawks will square off with 4th place on the line in Division 2. The Jayhawks currently reside in the 4th spot based on run differential. They battled to 9-9 tie back in Week 2, but will be looking for a more definitive result this time around. This will be the first of two games played by each club on Sunday, with S.O.S. facing #2 Swingers immediately following this game and the Jayhawks taking on #3 Al's Pizza later in the day. The winner will have an opportunity to move into the top half of the division with a second victory on Sunday. While both have struggled of late, that was not the case during the Mid-Season tournament. Both teams battled their way to finals, where S.O.S. captured the tournament championship. The Jayhawks will be looking to even the score in what should be a closely contested game between two evenly matched sides. Good luck everyone!

The surging Breaking Balls will look to continue their assault on the Division 3 rankings and exact a little revenge at the same time. Power-Up started the season winning 2 of their first 3 games and flexing their offensive muscle scoring 43 runs over that span. Included in their quick start was a 13-3 thrashing of Breaking Balls. Conversely, Breaking Balls failed to earn a win through the first 5 games of the season. They appeared to right the ship at the Mid-Season Tournament, advancing to the finals before falling to Crazy Joe's. Maintaining momentum, Breaking Balls picked up their first 2 wins of the regular season, upsetting the top 2 teams in the division last Sunday. Power-Up is in search of a return to their early season form, while Breaking Balls goes after a third straight win. Best of luck to both teams!

Beards and Babes heads into Week #8 with the only perfect record still intact across all four divisions. B & N Delivery will try to change that Sunday afternoon when the two highest scoring teams in Division 4 go head to head. The 2nd place squad put a 16-5 thumping on the Silver Springs Thumper last Sunday night, but they will have a tough task ahead of them if they plan on maintaining their high scoring ways. Beards and Babes have limited their opposition to a total of just 17 runs over 5 games, never allowing more then 5 runs in a single outing and shutting out their last opponent. B& N will be playing the second of back to back games on Sunday to make up for a previously rained out game. Good Luck to both teams!

This game will mark the second time these teams have met during the regular season, with 4PLAY narrowly edging out the Bench Warmers by a score of 4-3 back in Week #1. 4Play is looking to rebound from their first loss of the season, falling to Fan of the Sport last weekend. The hard charging Bench Warmers have won 3 in a row after a bit of a slow start to the season and are just one game out of first place, sitting in a 3-way tie for second. Currently residing #1 and 2 in Runs Allowed in the top division, these two teams have been vastly superior compared to their peers when it comes to defense. With first place on the line, we can expect another tightly contested battle next Sunday afternoon to close out Week #8. Good luck Guys and Girls!

The Master Batters have got off to a strong start this year, winning all 3 of their games and scoring 10 or more runs in each. They have been sound defensively, holding their opposition to a division best 23 combined runs over 3 games. Crazy Joes's is coming of their first win of the season, scoring 16 runs while holding their opponents to just 5 in the second game of Double Header Sunday. They earned a hard fought tie in the opening game of the day against the Rebels. The Master Batters will look to maintain their hold on the top of the division, while Crazy Joes's will try to run their undefeated streak to 3 consecutive games. Good luck to both teams!
