Welcome back for another fun and exciting season of Coed Slo-Pitch in St. Thomas! With another year brings more of the same great on-field action, but also a number of changes and updates that you need to be aware of. We will do our best to keep you informed.

At the most recent League meeting, the Executives and Team Reps went over a number of changes that can be seen here.

Team Numbers

• Unfortunately, we lost 6 teams from last year’s total of 40. In 2019, we have 14 new teams joining the league to push our total to 48. The most we have had in a number of years.

New Teams

• We would like to welcome the following new and/or returning teams to the League:

Division Format

• The format for Divisions 1, 2, & 5 will remain the same as last year.
  • 8 Teams per Division
  • 14 games played
  • 2 games versus each team, 1 Home & 1 Away
• The layout for Divisions 3 and 4 have changed.
  • 12 Teams per Division
  • Divided into 2 groups of 6- East & West
  • 14 games Played
  • 7 Home & 7 Away
  • 2 games versus each team in your group, 1 Home & 1 Away
  • 4 games versus 4 different teams from the opposite group, 2 Home & 2 Away

Game Times & Locations

• The majority of our games played at the complex will start 4, 5:30, and 7pm, an hour earlier than last year.
• We will also play more games at Gorman Rupp and Burwell Diamonds this season, starting earlier in the day.

Tournament Format

• Some teams will play a tournament game on Friday night.
• The format for Divisions 1, 2, & 5 will remain the same as last year.
  • 8 teams divided into 2 groups of 4 based on the standings
    • Group A: 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th
    • Group B: 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th
  • 3 Round Robin Games
  • Sunday Playoffs Crossover games
    • A1 vs B4, B1 vs A4…
    • 3 Rounds
    • Single Elimination
    • No Consolation Game
• The layout for Divisions 3 and 4 have changed.
  • 12 teams divided into 3 groups of 4 based on the standings
    • Group A: 1E, 3W, 5E, 6W
    • Group B: 1W, 3E, 5W, 6E
    • Group C: 2E, 2W, 4W, 4E
  • 3 Round Robin Games
  • Sunday Playoffs
    • First place in each group gets a bye to the Quarter-Finals
    • Top-ranked team of remaining 9 teams gets a bye to the Quarter-Finals
    • Remaining 8-teams are ranked/ paired 1-8 based on Round Robin games
    • Winning 4 teams will advance to Quarter-Finals
    • Single Elimination
    • No Consolation Game
