Purpose of the Form:
This form enables a player, coach, fan, or witness to submit an incident report and notify the League Executives of any incidents, whether or not they involved ejections or a formal report to the St. Thomas & District Umpires Association.
This form can be used in various scenarios, including reporting incidents involving players, teams, fans, umpires*, or city staff.
*Reporting of incidents involving judgment calls (balls/strikes or safe/out) will be disregarded. Reports involving Umpires should pertain to incorrect implementation of rules (time limits, courtesy runners, etc) or behaviour unbecoming of an umpire.
Usage of the Information:
The Executive Committee will use the submitted information to make informed decisions regarding player discipline and implement necessary disciplinary actions. Additionally, the League Executive will proactively use the provided information to address potential issues with involved players when required.
Example:
If a player receives multiple warnings over several weeks without any ejections or is involved in one more reported incident, the Executive will reach out to the player to discuss the matter and inform them of the potential consequences should the behaviour continue.
