2026 Wildcard Saturday Playoffs

The road to a championship begins here.
On Saturday, August 22, 2026, the St. Thomas Men’s Slo-Pitch League will launch its inaugural Wildcard Saturday, an exciting new playoff format designed to kick off the 2026 postseason with a full day of win-or-go-home competition.
Twelve teams from Men’s Division 3 and Division 4 will take the field, battling for six coveted Quarter-Final playoff berths. Each Wild Card matchup will be played as a Best-of-Three series, with the winners advancing to the Quarter-Finals the following week to continue their pursuit of a league championship.
Wild Card Re-Seeding
Following the completion of Wildcard Saturday, the advancing teams will be re-seeded based on their regular season standings.
- Men’s Division 3: The four Wild Card winners will be re-ranked according to their regular season finish. The highest-ranked advancing team will become the #5 seed, followed by the
remaining teams as the #6, #7, and #8 seeds for the Quarter-Finals. - Men’s Division 4: The two Wild Card winners will be re-ranked based on their regular season finish. The higher-ranked advancing team will be awarded the #7 seed, while the other advancing team will assume the #8 seed in the Quarter-Finals.
- Quarter-Final Matchups: 1st vs 8th | 2nd vs 7th | 3rd vs 6th | 4th vs 5th
This re-seeding format rewards stronger regular-season performance while ensuring every Wild Card winner has an opportunity to continue their championship run.
With every game carrying playoff implications, expect intense competition, dramatic moments, and plenty of excitement as teams fight to keep their championship dreams alive.

- Teams will be granted a brief break between Games 1 & 2 and, if needed, a slightly extended break between Games 2 & 3.
- Teams are permitted to start their next game immediately after their previous game concludes.
- **Division 4’s 8th vs 9th games will begin at 12:45 PM and will be assigned to a diamond based on availability, starting with Diamond 1.
- In the unlikely scenario that all four Division 3 playoff series require a Game 3, the D4 8th vs 9th series will begin on the first available diamond.
